Grand penthouse in Monument Square
If the stunning backdrop of the Bunker Hill Monument across the street isn’t enough to get history buffs excited, a penthouse unit at 30 Monument Sq. in Charlestown should be.

Penthouse 411 is one of 44 units in the former Charlestown High School that will amaze owners and guests alike, whether one is a history buff or not.

According to owner Beth Christensen, many years ago, the city allowed the schoolhouse that stands out on the square to be built of granite in a nod to the Bunker Hill Monument across the street when all other buildings had to be constructed with customary brick.
