Summer in the City

Berklee College of Music will present free Berklee Summer in the City concerts from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays at 100 Summer St. Visit www.berklee.edu for more information.

Midday music

Listen to music from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Norman B. Leventhal Park at l30 Congress St., now through Aug. 29. The events are sponsored by the Friends of Post Office Square. Festival of Bands

The Metropolitan Wind Symphony hosts its 31st annual Boston Festival of Bands at Faneuil Hall from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 8 with many talented bands performing throughout the day. The schedule includes:

11 a.m. - Sharon Concert Band
Noon - The Concord Band
1 p.m. - Metroplitan Wind Symphony
2 p.m. - Plainville Wind Ensemble
3 p.m. - The American Band
4 p.m. - Middlesex Concert Band
5 p.m. - Casco Bay Wind Symphony

Stewardship Saturday

Stewardship Saturday at Thompson Island will be held on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Join other park stewards to enhance native ecosystems and natural processes by studying and influencing changes in park plant biodiversity. People will explore the local flora and fauna and discuss the ecology, natural history and cultural significance of landscapes in the park as stewards work side-by-side to improve habitat for the native birds, bugs, trees and flowers of the Boston Harbor Islands.
