A South End home with fine amenities

The advantages of living at 7 Claremont Park in the South End go beyond proud ownership of an older home in one of Boston’s premier historic districts and resource-rich communities

 

Many of today’s hottest home amenities - central heating, fire protection, large windows, high ceilings, flexible floor plans, livable garden and penthouse levels, elbowroom for family growth - were in the original design of the 1876 brick rowhouse.

 

This not only observed new codes established after the Great Boston Fire of 1872, but also shows how architect Edgar Newcomb was thinking centuries ahead in his planning.
