Millennium Place offers luxury and great amenities
Millennium Place is a vibrant community located at 580 Washington Street (Midtown-Downtown), a block from the Common and just beyond the Ritz-Carlton, amidst a richly historic neighborhood thriving with energy and bursting with culture.

Millennium Place has 256 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes in a 15-story low-rise designed to create distinct living experiences: Garden Residences, Theatre Residences, Residences on the Avenue and Grand Residences. It also features 14 penthouses, many with private terraces.

Millennium Partners – recognized for their solid reputation of elevated luxury and solid workmanship, developed both Millennium Tower and Millennium Place.

Although the look, feel and functionality of each unit is unique, the detail and delivery of lavish features and generous amenities such as state-of-the art kitchens, sumptuous bathrooms, gracious, open floor plans with sleek hardwood flooring, in-unit washers and dryers, abundant floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the city are standard.

Residents at each complex enjoy unique 5-star services, including 24-hour private concierge, security and garage valet parking.

Some of the amenities in both buildings include a state-of-the-art fitness and spa facility, children’s playroom, owner’s lounge and private dining room. Many residents attend planned (adult, children and family) activities such as monthly mix and mingles, holiday parties, movie nights and fireside chats with well-known local celebrities and game nights.

Three major differences between the two complexes for consideration are the size and location of the buildings and affordability. Some people prefer a lower-rise building, less crowds and less formality. Others want the grandeur of heights and lots of people, pomp and circumstance.

Although both buildings are classified as Midtown properties, Millennium Tower is located in the bustling heart of downtown whereas Millennium Place is situated in a bit less hurried area. A smaller building with all the same amenities, Millennium Place is more affordable.

This week, we look at two homes at Millennium Place available through Pamela Cushing and Haley Cutter of Live in Luxury Real Estate at Douglas Elliman. One is Unit 203, a comfortable corner condo with 1,195 square feet. This lovely two-bedroom, two-bathroom second floor unit is listed for $1,325,000.

Among the benefits of living in a corner unit are the two adjacent floor-to-ceiling windows – not only adding plenty of natural light, but also expanding the vistas in two directions.

The pleasing engineered ivory oak hardwood flooring in the flowthrough living-dining room-kitchen along with the plush wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms add a homey feeling.

The well-defined kitchen sits in a  windowed alcove with plenty of counters and cabinets. The beautiful glass tile backsplash adds a touch of elegance. The fine Bosch appliances help make cooking fun. A granite island offers seating for two.

The two bedrooms sit on opposite ends of the unit. The master suite is spacious enough to accommodate a king-sized bed and has a large closet. The sparkling en suite bathroom features gorgeous marble on the countertops and floors and in the glassed-in shower and tub surround.

The second bedroom with adjacent bathroom is versatile in design. There is an entrance door to the suite for privacy with each room having a door as well. This space could also function as a bonus room for any purpose with the second bathroom available for guests.

The laundry closet has a stackable washer/dryer.

This home is ideal for a single person, a couple – either young and just starting out or empty-nesters looking to down-size – or a couple of friends, people who enjoy living in Boston with all the activities that Millennium Place and the city has to offer.

Rental parking is available at the nearby Ritz.

Unit 1203

Unit 1203 on the 12th floor has 1,625 square feet with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The list price is $2,150,000.

The space is well defined in this open concept corner unit. The kitchen has beautiful dark wood cabinets with contrasting light counters and a lovely glass tile backsplash accent. Bosch appliances include a four-burner gas stove and oven with a U-Line wine refrigerator. Pendants sit over the granite island with seating for two.

A large, lovely alcove features two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows with fascinating east-facing views of the downtown skyline - a perfect place for a dining table and chairs.

The living room area features a rectangular gas fireplace, a popular treat on chilly occasions with plenty of room for a wall mounted TV above adding to the entertainment ambiance. Another floor-toceiling window adds more light and pretty views.

The master bedroom suite is a haven of comfort and delight. The bedroom has five floor-to-ceiling windows providing lots of natural light and a corner view. The room is large enough to fit a king-sized bed and the accompanying furniture as well as a designated sitting area. There are two big closets to handle clothing attire.

The spacious bathroom is absolutely beautiful. The long dark vanity with double sinks complements the exquisite light marble tiled floors, marble surround soaking tub and marblelined glassed-in shower.

Two additional bedrooms are found on the opposite side of the unit. One bedroom has an en suite bathroom while the other has access to a bathroom across the hall. These bedrooms are great for kids or guests. It would be easy to convert one of these bedrooms into an office, study or a hobby room. How about creating a children’s en suite – bedroom, bathroom and playroom?

Other handy features in this home include a coat closet by the entrance and a laundry area.

This home comes with a valet parking space.
