Film festival

Magic 106.7 is hosting a family film festival at sundown on Saturdays at the Prudential Center, 800 Boylston St.

Entertainment, children’s activities and giveaways will begin at 6 p.m.

The movies will include the Oscar-winning animated feature “Coco” on July 21; “Wonder” starring Julia Roberts on July 28; Disney Pixar’s “The Incredibles” on Aug. 4 and Disney’s animated feature “Mulan” on Aug. 11.

Picnic baskets and blankets are welcome.

Introduction to genealogy

The New England Historic Genealogical Society, 99-101 Newbury St., will host a new visitors’ day at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 21.

This free orientation and tour will introduce resources available at the NEHGS research facility, home to more than 15 million artifacts, books, manuscripts, microfilms, journals, photographs and records to help people research family histories. Tour attendees are welcome to use the resources following the tour. Registration is not required.
