Craft workshop

A free artists-in-residence craft workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 26 at the John Doherty Playground, 15 St. Martin St.

Children, ages 3 to 10, can make masks, jewelry, paintings and treasure bottles. Materials will be provided. Local artists will host the sessions.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of eight or more must register in advance.

Twilight tour

The Boston National Historical Parks will host a free twilight tour of Bunker Hill from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 27, meeting in front of the flagpole on Pier 1 Charlestown Navy Yard.

A park ranger will lead a guided walk in the footsteps of British soldiers along the battlefield of the 1775 Battle of Bunker Hill. The tour will conclude with a special sunset climb to the top of the Bunker Hill Monument.

Coffee with the rangers

The USS Constitution Museum, Charlestown Navy Yard, will host coffee with a National Park Ranger at 9 a.m. every morning throughout July and August at Decca, Building 19 in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Visitors can meet a ranger over coffee or favorite beverage, ask questions and discuss some of the many exciting offerings and stories connected with the National Parks of Boston.

Built to win

The USS Constitution Museum, Building 22, Charlestown Navy Yard, is offering a new program, “Build to Win,” from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. now through July 31.

Kids can design, build and test their own mini model ship’s strength and speed in the “Built to Win” family program. While at the museum, families should explore the hands-on Forest to Frigate exhibit that explores the creation of the United States Navy and the early history of USS Constitution.
